Season’s are a-changing.
Time to do a little wardrobe shifting. Its like a whole mind-body transition.
Breathe out with summer. Breathe in with fall. Bye-bye flip-flops and bermudas . . . hello boots and sweaters . . . Breathe in, breathe out.
Especially in Texas where we don’t have distinct seasonal differences. “If you don’t like the weather, just wait around!” ~ as the saying goes. You really have to make an effort to get ready, because it is really sneaky around here. Days heating up into the 80s-90s and then you go to bed and wake up to frozen pipes!
I was just telling a friend about blogging. How some blog about things they buy, what they eat, places they’ve gone, but I blog about things that I admire. Would love to do, love to see, love to buy, love to wear.
And I love me some fashion . . . BELSTAFF fashion!
Have you heard of them?

I was keen on posting about it today, because they just launched their fashion film short Outlaws. Starring David Beckham, Harvey Keitel, Cathy Moriarty, and Katherine Waterston.

I really love some key elements of this 2016 Spring Ready-To-Wear Collection.
The overall sophistication and modern details.
Soft, neutral shades ranging from white to taupe/grays, pale grays to aqua blues.
Combination of textiles and modern details and embellishments.
Layering and flowing tunics, skirts, and dresses with more constructed jackets and trenches.
Fits are flowy and loose, so appealing to many body types as well as lifestyles.
I chose a few that satisfied my Easy Desert Style, but you can certainly click on the image below to see the entire collection and take stock yourself:
My critique would be that the rest of the line felt more Fall in color and style, but I have to keep reminding myself that this is their Spring RTW. Bit of a mind-boggler for an addled-mommy-brain. I wish them the very best, but not sure if they evoke that whole “new beginning” Spring feeling.
You see what I mean?
We’re talking thick, heavy fabrics in blacks and dark grays. Much more structured, with square shoulders and flat, tailored cuts and stiffer textiles. In my experience, these looks often look fabulous on only a limited body range. Primarily for those above average in height and below average in body weight; aka my younger, teenage sister for sure with her 5’10” frame and limbs for miles and miles. On the average person, we’re either hobos or we’ve been recruited into the military.
Belstaff also featured their 2016 Menswear Collection with a sandy, desert backdrop, so I wanted to make sure to give a nod for the boys. I have two brothers who are keen on the trends and looking sharp. I picked out a few looks that will fit the bill, but also satisfied our “desert love” criteria.
Are you in love and now so anxious for these collections to roll out?
In the meantime, you can take a gander at Belstaff.com at what they are currently offering for this fall season. Very wearable finds in their “Outlaws” Collection, featured in their fashion video.
So are you ready for fall??
To be honest, I’m not so sure anymore . . .
