Santa Elena Big Bend National Park full of surprises Guest Post on MyDesertLove.com

~ Originally Published on Elizabeth A Garcia’s blog: September 11, 2014 ~ It started as a starry-eyed love for the Rio Grande and the jaw-dropping scenery that surrounds it. My Desert Love Designs

Cactus love - Open your mind and heart to their persistance to live in the most bare and inhospitable conditions.

I admit it was not natural to me, but I am afflicted.
Just the other day met a new parks employee from Deep South and she mentioned her love of trees and consternation over cacti came up. I started rattling on about their virtues of cacti and the cons of living amongst trees.
And I'm sitting here and thinking - "Uh was it a bit too much?" Old age and cacti love makes one tend to rattle on and on. Ah well.

#cactus #cactuslovers #desertGreen cactus against an aged blue wall...Beautiful Mexican style on the back courtyard wall of Mixta, one of my favorite shops in San Miguel de Allende. Everywhere you turn in this Pueblo Magico, your eye falls on something beautiful. And on a perfectly sunny and warm day like today, everything sparkles in the high desert light that has brought so many artists to San Miguel.
